The magnificent O’Fallon Historical Society was founded in 1988 to preserve the history of our city. With a focus on Illinois and Missouri, they are dedicated not only to preserving local heritage but also to educating visitors about it. Whether you’re looking for Illinois pioneer pieces or artifacts from around our area, this place will have what it takes. If there were one thing I could take away from my trip today, then surely these priceless historical treasures would be worth every penny spent.

The O’Fallon Historical Society has been operating a museum in downtown Illinois since 1996. Located at 101 W. State Street, it is exclusively staffed by dedicated volunteers and boasts two floors of exhibit space as well as storage areas for more artifacts to be found.

Situated at 101 West State Street, O’Fallon, IL 62269, the O’Fallon Historical Society Museum (operated by the society) features permanent exhibits on local schools, railroads, and coal mining. Two famous native sons are celebrated in these displays: illustrator Bernie Fuchs and Academy Award-winning actor William Holden.

On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, the O’Fallon Historical Society meets at 7 pm at the O’Fallon Historical Society Museum to discuss interesting programs and invite you into their world. The public is always welcome to these meetings, which feature museum-quality displays from all eras in our city’s history–from ancient artifacts like pottery or stone tools up to modern artwork created just last weekend by local artists.

The O’Fallon Historical Society Museum is a free museum that was established more than 30 years ago to celebrate the area’s rich history. The Society has been working hard for over three decades now, and its efforts have paid off big time. Not only does this place have some amazing pieces from all different eras, but you can even learn how they work, too-so if you are curious about what happened back then or just want an insight into our past, then stop by here first before heading anywhere else.

History is always worth studying, especially when you can enjoy it indoors. The O’Fallon Historical Society Museum has so many fascinating items that will take your breath away with their beauty. From folk art from around the world to furniture dating back centuries ago, this place really does have something for everyone who appreciates old things. I recommend visiting on rainy days or cold winter nights because there’s no better way to curl up inside while learning about what life was like in our town’s past right before yours.
